I think this has got POD not because its great photography or even a paticulary good section of riding (all respect to those guys though, dont get me wrong!!!) but i do think its POD because a photo is supposed to do a number of things, including tell a story, and this does, it conjours up that race feeling, the nerves and anxiety and to me this photo is a little bit of a story about a young kiwi who kept his cool under untold pressure in the finale of one of the greatest world cup seasons to date... Friends
